I bought this bottle about a year or so ago, I prefer using gel CA, for better control, but I have used this thin a few times. I hadn't used it in a while, and normally it sits in a drawer with other glues. I have been getting a fair amount of "fuming" in the drawer, but I figured it was the cheap CA glue I use and keep it covered with a tissue to help reduce the ninhydrin vapor and attaching to every fingerprint in the drawer, not to mention lining everything with that white haze.
Anyway, I went to pull it out this morning to use and discovered it had tried to glue itself to the small box it sits in. I pulled it and found this. It's leaking, there's clearly a hole in the bottle, but it's not like it's rubbing on something or being abused. To have spontaneously begin to leak like that concerns me.
I like Bob Smith stuff and would likely replace the bottle, but not if this is a common issue, or if I maybe just got a bad bottle?

I had a similar swelling before, but never a rupture. I think I caused the swelling when it happened to me. The gel was a "medium" but over time (like a year plus) was becoming on the thick side of thick, so I added some acetone and "thought" it was mixed thoroughly.
