Blood Guyver--complete

[Quaralane]

After finishing up the Game Tank, I decided to tackle the only vinyl kit currently in the stash.
This one is based on the "Bio-Booster Armor: Guyver" anime, but the model itself is based off the version from the live action movie.

Start with parts layout. A lot of excess vinyl was going into the trash.

Basic assembly completed. I used some Aves Apoxie Sculpt to attach the figure to the strip of wood acting as a temporary base.

Gave the model a base coat of flat black

Then we give him a coat of deep red

I gave the model a coat of black wash, wiping off the excess with a cloth

Final details were added as I painted the "control medals" in metallic silver and his eyes in yellow.

1. I'll be honest. I have no idea who made the kit. I likely bought it from the Ebay seller "Anime Plus"
It came in a bag with finished pics of the model and that was it.

2. I had some trouble getting some of the parts to fit just right, but warm water helps a LOT with vinyl.

3. Didn't fill it, but I may regret that later.

4. The paints I used were rattlecan "ColorPlace" from Wal-Mart.
The wash was water, black acrylic paint, and Future in about equal parts

As to doing more vinyl, well, he was the last one in my stash

Pretty cool,great job ,it reminds me of the scene from mutronics when the guyver unit regenerates itself from within the zoanoids body and has just cut his way out. 8)
