I took delivery of an Iwata HP-C and Smart Jet compressor that I won on eBay last week. I played with them a little and all seems quite functional. I had trouble making fine lines but I think that is operator error more than a problem with them equipment.
My dilemma is that, before I saw the Iwata airbrush and compressor being sold as a lot, I had bid on a Badger 150. I won that as well. The 150 is in great shape and has all the parts, including the original wooden box, but it's a siphon feed. Also, I think I may not need it now.
I know lots of guys have more than one brush. But, my thinking is that I like gravity fed brushes and that I am going to focus on learning to paint with the Iwata. The Badger will likely sit, unused. Should I hang on to it? Or, I was thinking that I should put it back on eBay and resell it to recoup my costs. I've been spending a decent amount of money lately because I really didn't have the tools of the hobby. So, sixty bucks back in my bank account seems prudent.
If you have experience in this area, what do you think I should do? Is the Badger a great brush and I should try using it? Should I hang on to it because I will find use for it later? Or, should I sell it and, if in the future I find I want another brush, I can get one then? Meanwhile, I have a little extra money for a new kit or something. What say you?
