It's one my my favorite movies as well, have it on dvd and on vhs. I found it a few months ago in my closet under a model kit

I remember going to see this movie in 1983, the notion a bullied young man gets a car that magically loves him, fixes itself and avenges his enemies is appealing to any teenager. LOL

I was a massive Stephen King fan, had read all of his books up to that point and when Christine came out, my buddies and I went to see it.
Along with the original VHS and now DVD, I still have the original soundtrack on LP (for those of us who know what that is, lol).
John Carpenter's bass and drum riffs really punched up the sinister side of the car.
Of course, like all books to movies, the movie was different than the book, but the movie remains a cult favorite and one of mine.
I did source a resin 350 Golden Commando motor, with the correct dual carb set up on eBay,

Liked the movie and LOVED the book. I would re-read it but it's such a long read. May still do it because it's one of my all time favorite reads.
I don't want to hijack w's thread- but I remember bits and pieces of the book, I also remember it was not near as long as say, The Stand, IT or The Dead Zone, those were Loooooonggg (also turned into ok movies or series that pale to the books). I also remember Christine was driven by the ghost of LeBatt's rotting brother? I think I oughtta reread it again. been over 40 years.

Good progress on this @wjbrandel .
Thanks mustang1989. Here is some more progress, now that I am in the final assembly phase it is moving very fast. Slow downs happen while I waiting for glue to dry.

I have most of the chrome on it. Need to join the body to the chassis and then the bumpers need to be put on.

One thing does bother me about the model is one of the wheels do not make contact with the ground. I messed with it and tried all the tricks I know and I couldn't get it to rest on all 4 wheels. It may be one of those things I have to accept. Oh well I don't get that even stance on cars very often, probably would if I built more of them.

Looking good!!

Got to love those warped issues that present themselves around the final assembly.

Ha the body and chassis are together

And do not mount the radiator assembly until you have merged the body and chassis. I had to cut the bottom piece of the body off to get the body on. But the passenger compartment fits absolutely beautifully, just a very minor gap at the rear window that I am not even going to worry about.

Now the rest of the final assembly.

It is suppose to be chrome. In reality I used silver paint, I didn't realize I was out of chrome paint. That's what I get for all the military models I've been building :). I've picked more up.

It may be available at a local hobby store or home goods/DIY store. Maybe try a Google search to see if its available somewhere easier for you.
