The surprise announcement at Tamiya's booth at the All-Japan Model Hobby Show in Tokyo this weekend is that they've taken their best-selling 1:48 Tomcat and downsized it to 1:72, retaining the features of that kit and replicating it in the smaller scale! It features movable wings that are joined together by gear wheels (nice!), ordinance, and pilot figures. 5 decal options: two Black Lions, a Bounty Hunters, a Grim Reapers, and a Vampires liveries. One of their walls in their booth was this jibungous artwork of the box art:
Unlike the 1:48 scale, this kit will have the wings connected by gear wheels. A nice touch is that it has that bridge to keep the gears from getting disconnected. You wouldn't want that to happen!
