You should definitely go. Its inspiring and really fun if there's a good number of vendors.

The top two reasons right there!

Vendor prices at the shows are usually much lower than retail. Not to mention rare and hard to find items. Plus, NO SHIPPING!

Regarding the contests (I've never entered anything in an IPMS show) they are definitely inspiring, can get the mojo flowing as long as you don;t get discourgaged LOL.
