hey guys,

so I have been getting into some larger scale models recently, mainly sci-fi stuff and I realize that it seems to take a long time to cover big areas with my air brush. I don't really want to resort to rattle cans, so I was wondering what type of brush should I look at purchasing, nozzle size, gravity fed or not, etc....... look forward to replies.

something like the badger anthem 155 or the patriot 105 would do the job the 155 is bottom fed and has large bottles you can fill its very handy, the 105 has the cup on top.

both have i believe a .05 needle

What kind of airbrush do you have now? You can likely buy a larger needle/nozzle combo to fit the airbrush you already have, for much less than going out and buying a complete other airbrush.

I find it easier to use a siphon fed airbrush for large jobs so I don't have to keep filling the gravity fed cup. Any airbrush with a common .5mm needle will do. Or you could buy an actual spray gun similar to what the automotive guys use. ;D
