A Little Bit of Wood Working

I was wondering what that was going to be a stand for. I had not guessed pipes :)

I fancied taking up the pipe.

Wife laughed herself sick then said, "absolutely f*****g not,"

Aaaaaalllriiighhttey THEN, Cigars forward!

Joking (of course) even the finest cigars ever rolled pale by comparison (to the 2nd party) with decent-quality pipe tobacco.

My wife and I appreciated the aromatics of pipe-tobacco together for more than a decade,` it was good. But then I turned 55 (yo) and with the inevitable impact to my bicycling, I had to stop.

But, for my brothers in smoke, (you know who you are)...I have my Grandfather's "Meerschaum" collection, in brass-clasped, velour-lined collector cases.

Gave up smoking cigarettes 24 years ago, glad I did. I did try the pipe at one time. Too much trouble keeping them lit for me. Nice work there and nice collection.

I like meerschaum pipes, I got about 4 or 5 when my grandfather passed a few years ago along with his other pipes.

Thanks, that's about a weeks worth of work with no drawn plans. And as Grandfather told me A good pipe is always on the verge of going out, no shame in relighting.
