Hi All,

This will be my build thread for Kyle Busch's #8 Rebel Bourbon Chevy Camaro ZL1 that he drove in the Cup Series race from Circuit of the Americas in 2025. The base kit is a Salvinos JR Ross Chastain JOCKEY Camaro with decals from both Powerslide and 3 Amigos Decals. I've been sitting on a multitude of 3D printed parts from Jaye's Model Garage as well as other NASCAR-specific aftermarket parts I'll be throwing into this build.

The real car. Busch dominated the race by leading 42 laps, but faded in the end and had to settle for a 5th place finish.

Thanks for following along.

One of my favorite upgrades to do on these Salvinos JR NASCAR 7th Gen kits is replacing the fuel filler inlet molded into the body with a significantly superior 3D printed inlet from Jaye's Model Garage. The filler inlet molded to the body lacks detail and the port is way too shallow in depth.

I drilled out the molded-in inlet and cleaned up the area with a rounded sanding stick. To replicate the fuel filler neck, I cut a small section of 5.56mm x .355mm aluminum tubing and superglue it roughly into the opening. After sanding the aluminum tubing flush with the quarter panel, I fill any gaps around the tubing. Once satisfied with the installation of the filler neck, I punched a circle of sheet styrene and glued it into the tubing at the desired depth for the inlet itself.

Here's how the fuel filler looks installed from the exterior-
