Step 2 is the engine and I'll have to strip some of the chrome parts....in Coca Cola ;D

I just found out tonight that Lacquer thinner will pull off chrome. But be very careful, it will also eat the plastic.

I have been using it to remove spots of chrome for glue.

Nah, Coke works great, and I have kids running around the house. The parts have been in for 24 hrs now and are almost there, I'll post up results tonight.

That's it Ialarmu, get to it and at it!

I like the idea of Coke, no toxic fumes there. I wonder if any Cola will work?

Cool tip with using Coke. Sure it's slow, but it's cheap, easy to find, non toxic (kind of). I'll be trying that.

Great subject for the contest. I also like the kid-friendly chrome stripping solution - just make sure they don't try to take a sip! ;) Good luck, I'll be watching this thread with interest. Love those little Cobras.

A classic car with out a doubt, very nice idea with the Ford racing colours. Are you going to add any extra detail ?

Can't wait to see what you can do with it, good luck ;D
