1957 Fairlane 500 Sportsman

This one has been staring at me from my pile for too long..it's an old mold with tons of flash and wonky castings, the doors open, but look terrible closed...just a hunk of bad.

So I found this on the interwebulars

Yep...I don't have enough yellow cars...and I can get rid of all the terribly casted trim work so ...
Ground off all the trim, welded the doors shut, and radius-ed the wheel wells to take some bigger meats

Found some suitable shoes for her

Found some retro-esque numbers in the Bill Elliot Dodge, which I'll never build.

I look at the kits that I have, and I see what other builders do to them over and over again, and think,...there's got to be another way.
So I Google the make and model as a race car and go from there,...lol
