Well I have been away for some time from the hobby, and have a couple of shelf queens I need to finish up. But I figured since I have not been able to enjoy the hobby I love doing for so long, I would start off with a BANG!

I figured what better than the 1/72 Morser KARL 040/0041 Initial Version i have been wanting to do for so long.

Here are the kick off pics -

Well here is a bit of progress. I been taking my time with this one, in between completing a couple of Shelf Queens that have been around for months if not longer.

Some work on the kit-

Lower Hull completed.

Upper Hull begun. With some PE. First time really working with PE and i can definitely say it takes patience.....

Thanks for looking!

Lookin good so far, Im looking foward to watching your builld progress! I have Hasegawas 1/72 Karl with Munitions Panzer in the stash waiting to be built, and the Dragon 1/35 Karl thats built and just needs a few small parts added then painted and weathered. Trying to decide on the color scheme for the 1/35 Karl...thinking about keeping it simple and going with Field Gray that was popular for artillery pieces.

wicked! Can you individual track links for one of these? I think it would look better and sit more naturally than the ones manufactures usually provide
Will be watching both of these KARL's as they progress

Ya I think they are available. But have not bought. The PE has me burnt out. I don't think it was such a great idea for me to do my first PE work on 1/72. Parts are sooooo tiny... I do have progress to share and should have pics up in a day or so.
