Disclaimer! The Blue Angels will most likely fly the F-35A and F-35C not STOVL version, but F-35B is so much cooler than the other two, which I can't resist. Had always wanted to build one since they entered service this year. Plus there is not a lot of options to choose from atm. Anyway here we go.

There is a lot of speculated paint scheme out there and I chose this one, which is based on a 2006 Super Hornet.

Thanks for looking! I live near MCAS Miramar in San Diego, so I will be seeing the Blue Angels again in 2014

Definitely an interesting concept.
Although your blue coat looks a bit uneven in the pics.

Nicely done overall, though

I'm not trying to be critical but don the Blue Angels polish their aircraft to a fairly high gloss? That is a neat looking kit and a very nice assembly job.

The blue paint itself is gloss and I applied a layer of clear gloss, maybe i need to find a stronger one.
