I just finished this model 1 week ago. Weathering using various of oils product. I like to make it not too old but look average damage.

Your WIP is wonderful. I'd love to know how you achieved the worn looks - it's painted on vs chipping, right?

For warn look, I use Filters and oils to make fading. You can see the grey fading. I used Grey Acrylic paint for achieve that. Painting in random pattern with cotton bud.

Chipping using only paints. No scratch or physical peel off.

Very thin of acrylic paint. Use cotton bud to dip abd rub randomly on model. A few layers can make interesting subtle. Use paint brush may cannit make ths effect.
