AN i dont know if it will be worth all the effort of fitting firbe optics in the instrument panel to bring a bit of colour to it but well ive done it so far but just got to trim up the f/o so they are level an then just paint on them the tamyia clear colour paints so when i fit the big 5 mm white led in place hopefully it should shine up the f/o to show up in the instrument panel

The one time I built a model with LEDs and fibre-optics, I put the LEDs into a bit of plastic tube, partly to prevent light leaking and partly because drilling through the side of the plastic tube gave me a way to put the ends of the fibre-optic against the LEDs:

Sounds like a save with a very roundabout way to said save!!
HI Downtime yes it was a very lucky save as if the tiny wires were cut an shorter then it would have been curtains for the front lights an i felt like sayin toss it i wont try an repair the wires but my stubbon streak won out again to spend all day tryin to fix a really stupid mistake cheers for your reply
