Not here yet but on it's way. A friend of our two son's at school, the lad's father had one as his daily runabout. The man had an F1/F2 exhaust manufacturing shop!

Oh it's my birthday present (St Patricks Day) I'm only 77, so I'm adding the two together and I'm back at 14 years old! My dear wife of 57 years tells me that's the age I've always been!

Thanks BarleyBop. The shop tells me it's on it's way already!
It landed on Friday afternoon! What a service from Model Shop Leeds!

The original engine was a Rover V8, but as there wasn't room for the big V8 so the rear two cylinders were cut off! Four wheel drive was fitted for maximum grip and as allowed with any World Rally Car to be as fast as possible. Also it was my first go at making seatbelts with the photo-etch and fabric, very stressful, I think I'll stick to decals.

You mean very successful!
... and along with those anchors, looks more complicated than my granddaughter's carseat a few years ago!

My Mini is WRC as well, but nowhere near as intricate as yours: the harness is a onepiece moulded plastic job. (thankfully) and no engine to install either.

I've heard it said you are only as old as you feel.

If I get to choose, I want the 11AM to 3PM window. I'm alert, no longer wondering about what happened yesterday, nor concerned about what is due tomorrow. I'm (usually) dressed, caffeinated, and my teeth have been brushed. Ready to rock!

When I wake up, I have to stagger to the toilet, afraid of either soiling something or falling, it is a narrow way.
When I am ready for bed, I'm just hoping the pager doesn't ring before the alarm-clock does.

I'm just like your first comment. We walk into town every morning at around 9am, to buy fresh produce for our lunch or dinner, have a coffee, meet a few friends at the coffee shop and walk back home. I am then ready for 10.30 to 12 noon in the cabin, and 2pm to 3pm in the afternoon. Weekends are slightly different as we drive further afield for coffee and cake at various garden centres and the cometary where my wife's parents are laid to rest, trimming the grass and ensuring that their name plate is clean and tidy. Also at this time of year to watch my teenage sport of race cycling at the Tour De France on TV for 3 weeks!

Always have tools ready, good scissors, good tweezers, large craft paint brush to get water onto body, warm to hot water in a small tray, poured from a tight flask, place decals onto a slightly wet area, place them well, go over carefully with wet paint brush, into the right place, carefully dab once over with thick kitchen towel to take most of the water away, making sure not to move the decal

Thanks guys!
Update: 13.07.25 the other side is done as well 13.57pm Sunday! In the UK at the time as is now, any form of cigarette advertising is banned, The cars used for overseas rallies had the main sponsor name on the car which was Rothmans, but not here in the UK!
