I've always been interested in the Pz38(t). Such a small little tank with lots of great little details and rivets. When Hobby Boss rereleased the original TriStar kit I promptly picked one up at my LHS. It's a nice kit and accurately depicts the little Czech tank. The kit fenders were a little...
urumomo - Thanks. The kit tracks were frustrating so I used Master Club white metal tracks. They required some clean up but even will all the little resin pins were easier to use than the kit ones.
Thanks Geegad. I really enjoy panzer grey vehicles.
Here's a wee little Panzer that I just wrapped up. I didn't bother taking any in progress photos. This is the HobbyBoss rebox of the Tristar Pz38t Ausf E/F. A nice little kit. I added the Voyager PE set and replaced the kit indy tracks with Master Club white metal ones. I added the tiny tie...
This is my build of the Love Love Garden resin conversion set for the Hasegawa White Knight. The figure is also from LLG.
I didn't take any in progress pictures. But let me tell you, Hasegawa White Knight kit was one of the easiest kits I have built in a long time. Lots of details and the fit...
Wow it's been a while.
Here is the finished SandStalker on its base. The base hides the battery and wiring for the micro LEDs to illuminate the interior and headlamp. I didn't really take any photos before it was all glued up which is a shame as the interior is fully detailed.
You mean too bad it's not another StuG. ;-) I have an Ausf F planned but can't decide how to finish it. Also have an Ausf G initial in the pile. So tempted to start both.
Yeah, I've built a couple of models before this. ;)
Only one fig... for now. I might put this on a snowy base.
The Panzer Tracks book has only a few pages devoted to this tank - the rest is about the "Brumbar"- but what is there is very useful. Only 24 of these were ever built and photos are...
This is my latest completed armor project. It is one of my favorite armor designs and have been wanting to build this for a few years. The base kit is the Dragon 6749 from 2013. There was quite a bit of unexpected work to correct and detail the base kit. Panzer Tracts 8-1 has been invaluable...
The legs are glued except for the polycap hip joint so I can fold it up for storage. The model is standing on it's own four pegs, no rod, no string.
I had big plans to use very small screws and inserts to create working joints but then came to my senses.
Here's my last finished model for 2015. The kit is from Rainbow Egg. It contained some finely cast resin pieces and injection molded parts from the Neuspotter kit but the brass rod frfor the legs had to be sourced. Build and paint was straightforward. Weathering was time consuming. I started...
