Well it's certainly completely different for me.
Found myself in a proper rut lately. Work pressures, family worries, health concern.
You know, life!
So when im struggling I model. But I've kind of fallen out of love a bit. There's only so much dunkengraun and mud you can put on ....
So, as its my birthday this week, the missus sent me to the model shop... time for something completely different!

Never built a bike before. I mean, I've got 3 real ones in my garage, but no plastic ones.

And im freaking loving it!! It's rejuvenated me.
Threw the engine together in an hour.

More tomorrow.

I owned a 1980 CB750F (SS) in college, loved that bike even though it wanted to kill me!

Happy birthday! I've wondered if I would like to build a bike. I've also three, one street cruiser and two dirt bikes. Selling all three. My back just won't do it anymore. Got my Kawasaki running today so I can sell it and hearing it run I thought, "I should probably keep one." Keep us posted on your progress!

Bit more progress. Mostly building sub assemblies and painting teeny tiny bits, but did get the exhausts on . These did prove tricky. The old 3 handed job.
Tried to do a bit of heat blueing on the header pipes. Successfully?
Jury is out i think?

Have you considered Tamiya clear blue for the headers, might work with a bit of a adjustment - fiddle thinning. Guess you'd have to mess with it a bit on some scrap prue Cameron

Clear blue works well applied thin on silver, this picture shows you can use the blue and the yellow (carefully) without getting green.

I am a big fan of that product line! Do not have those specific colors, but the 5 or 6 I do are wonderful to work with.

JK. Your Honda is coming along nicely. I love building the Tamiya motorcycles. They always go together perfectly.
