Started out with these two kits and a Pro Street vision between the two.

I've always had an eye for Revell's "Street Demons" series back in 1983 but I don't really care for the gasser look that a few of 'em had...……..this one in particular. In staying with the theme I set out to change things up a little bit in the way of a slight color change up, stance, powertrain and interior.

Powertrain : Came from the Revell 1968 Hemi Dart kit with upgrades to the ignition, fuel and throttle linkage systems.

Wheels: From Future Attractions. I had my machine shop at work cut the rear wheels in half due to the fact that they were just too dang wide to use with the tires I had.

Paint: Testors Icy Blue Lacquer, Testors White Lightning Lacquer and Testors Wet Look Clear all decanted and shot through an airbrush.

Decals: Speedway Decals

How awesome us that?!
Where to begin? Just the rad hose in of its self is amazing!
What did you use for the carpet?
Thanks BB. I use black insulated electrical wire for most of my hoses as I can form them any way I like and there's no mold lines to clean up.

I used blue flocking for the carpet on this car. I've since stopped doing this just because it's so messy. And I found out.....DON'T turn the car upside down to look at the bottom of the car because there'll be a mess inside afterwards. For me, it doesn't make any difference on how well I adhere this stuff.......some always comes loose during handling.

Thanks fellas. It was a good trip down memory lane with some updated quirks I put into it. I always see these with blowers sticking out of the hood and all and wanted to go for something a little different and the A-990 426 Hemi was the perfect choice for me.

Absolutely beautiful work. I love the 426 hemi and your choice of the cross manifold dual quads is perfect for displaying the detail. Everything on this looks fantastic!
