REVELL IS AWSOME!!!!.........not.
In the instructions it indicates part #2 for the jet exhaust.
NO MENTION that you have to assemble the exhaust out of 6 pieces each of 101 and 102.
Doesn't even really go together all that well, oh well, par for the course, putty and sand.......

Been working on this on and off, mostly off. Ever get to a point with a kit that you realize you just don't like it?
I'm ready to Flackhammer it, but out of my stubbornness I'm going to keep at it.

keep at it
... at this point, some of the guys would maybe box it up, work on something that gets them excited, and come back to it later.
I'm more of a leave the bench a while, read up on it, in this case, watch the movies again, and come back when "I feel the need for" building!
In any case, it looks like it is coming along very nicely, so, your call!

Here I a thought; how would this work? Buy a top line kit. maybe a Tamiya F- 14, and a Revell Top Gun F-14; and apple the Revell Decasl to the Tamiya kit.
I like the idea, but this is my first modern jet. I'm finding I like the old warbirds better.
That being said, I do have an SR-71 and a B-52 in the stash.

Also a B-36 in 1:72 in the waiting.
WOW a B36 in 1/72 thats a big model yes i love them even better than the B52 AS seen only one B36 in my ln my life at at the airbase airshow near me back in the late 50's an it had a huge red painted tail an wing tips an was mostly in meatal colour an what a plane it was as they had fire exstingers under the engines in case they caught fire brilliant hope ubuild that plane

I really hate this kit, just going through the motions now just to finish it.
I've been there brother. The F7F was a terrible kit. Just wanted to finish it and get it off my bench.
Your build doesn't look bad at all though.
As I have heard many times here, "some kits you build and some kits build you."

Ha!!!!! Building a desire to get this over with, yeah it's building perseverance in Flackhammer resistance.
Still giving it my best go based on my love of this kit, maybe the F-18, the other half of this build will be easier after this.
Thanks for the fine advice, can't remember where I've seen those words though.....
