U.S.S. ABERCROMBIE DE343

The pictured ship is a Rudderow class, Abercrombie is a Butler class. Ships are identical other than the power plant.
 
Classic Lindberg for sure, which pretty much ensures you have to build it as such. Too difficult to correct. Still a fun build though.
 
Is Lindberg still in business? Their kits were iffy even in the 70s.

I hope not. It's crap like this that puts people off the hobby. Imagine trying this as your first ever model!?

They still exist.
They have a Jolly Roger sailing ship kit i built, all of the molds were out of alignment and the hull halves were off by a sixteenth of an inch in length from each other.

I built that kit as a kid on my bedroom floor in about an hour. Everything fit good. Worn out molds and using cheap and inferior plastic material looks to have made this kit almost un-buildable.
