I've bought a cheap compressor with a max working pressure of 20 PSI. I'm not sure if i should keep it though. Browsing the forums, it's clear that there are many different opinions. Will 20 PSI do me alright?

Thanks

Thanks, guys! I just wanted to check, since I've read some people say that they have to spray 25-35 PSI for some paints. I plan to use Vallejo model air colors and primers. I have a 0,3 airbrush. I'd really appreciate some thoughts on this combo. Will 20 PSI still be enough?

I've run Vallejo through mine at 20psi with no problems.
Admittedly, I'm using a .5 rather than a .3, but it works fine.
Alclad actually recommends 20psi for their stuff

And I usually spray at 15 PSI for almost everything including the Alclad paints.

The Vallejo primer out of the bottle may require a bit more air pressure than that, but you can always thin it out so it will then spray no problem at 20psi

That's great news. Thanks for the advice, all. I'll take it out of the box, and give it go. Wish me luck :)

I run my alclad metals at 10-15
Higher for black, clears and candys.

20psi should be fine, worst case a lil thinner and you are away
