General fit I'd say. They are ridiculed or lambasted widely in modeleing circles and went bankrupt because of the many problems folks have which( reportedly) applied to most of their kits.What's wrong with Kitty Hawk?
It is not all bad. There are some very nice things, and some innovative ideas. I'd say surface detail is excellent for the most part. But in some places there are huge gaps, in others there are huge steps. Plan on lots of putty and sanding and you should be good.
One thing on this particular kit is that body panels like landing gear covers, airbrakes, etc. have a tiny lip for aerodynamic seal in real-life. The molds show this perfectly, but there's a sprue-gate right in the middle of the dang thing that you'd have to be a brain surgeon to clean perfectly. Similar story on ejection pins, not only are they in visible areas, but they are deep. I used CA glue to plug most of them, which is hard to sand, but I hate putty.
