this is exactly what the Ace Of Spades P-51D Mustang is supposed to look like.

this is what i had after i built Ace Of Spades P-51 #3

it looks alot better than 1 and 2, but needs some upgrades, the prop left a little much to be desired, there was a huge seem in the prop hub and it did not have enough detail, lots of decals and such still to be added.


first order of business a much higher quality Prop and Prop hub, this prop is carefully made and includes the Hamilton Standard stamps that usually came on the props. the seam was prevented with very carful fitting and sealer, the Bondo sealer also added a really cool metal ish look to the prop hub, which i really liked.

they basically are emblems, if there is lettering its really tiny...



it basically was the brand logo, Hamilton Standard made Tons of props for aircraft, the P-51D Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, both had props made By Hamilton Standard.

if VDM was a prop or aircraft company, yep, pretty much! Hamilton Standard was basically the Rolls Royce, Diamler Benz, or Pratt and Wittany of the propellers, i think the F6F also had a Hamilton standard 3 blade. .

Yeah, VDM builts many Propellers for german Aircraft industry.
