Has anyone built here I want to find out how masking the canopy worked out. I've tried to smooth out to show the recesses but it's so tight that the tamiya tape does not expose the detail

It is an old kit but still well detailed I'm just going to try and take my time with this one, and do it properly

Ended up stepping on mine on accident and had to order a Squadron replacement...but I've heard of people spraying the color onto decal paper and applying thin strips to the canopy with success....

So this is as far as I am at the moment. First time I've tried pre-shading..... still learning. As for the model its old and the decals are not the best, but I'm enjoying trying some techniques.
