I also like the folded roof much better than the transparent one.

But did they maybe mould it transparent so you can mask off the rear window and then paint the whole tilt (inside and out)?

Masking could be really time westing in this case
 
Got to admit, the designers of this vehicle really liked their French curves; part utilitarian, part sport, part baby pram! But it still manages to have a front end that puts 90% of today's automobiles to shame.
I guess my little mouse has given me new appreciation for these little cars.

I like what you are doing with it!
