Hey guy's, I've been fooling around with my Velocity airbrush ;D and have been playing with a technique that I am trying to scale down. I've always been a fan of "true fire" flame jobs and now have the airbrush to give it a go. I was hoping maybe someone here would have some first hand knowledge of this technique. The big problem is of course the scale , I can't seem to get it right. The detail of the flames are ok but, seem to lack "Life".
I'm using Createx opaque white with a few drops of retarder and about a 60 thinnner-40 paint ratio. You can see in these pics I'm a bit grainy but that's as good as it gets with the paints I'm using( I also tried Tamiya). The white is oversprayed using Tamiya's acrylic candy line.
Any recommendations on paint, thinners or whatever would be great thanks.
