My local club had a group build … anything that flies except a plane or jet. My immediate thought was the flying sub from the old 60's TV show "
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". I wanted to try adding lights to a model for the first time and setting the sub in water, which I have never done. I used two white lights in front, one red light in the cockpit and two orange lights for the engines. I followed a water technique I found on YouTube using aluminum foil. I set the whole scene in a box with small feet so I could have a place to put the battery and off/on switch. I learned a lot doing this build and received many positive comments.
