I have been working on a Templar Sargent bust by Andrea in 1/9th scale. The work has been done using a combination or air brushed acrylic paints and more traditional oil paint techniques. Here some pictures of the progression so far. Questions and comments are welcome.

Working on the helmet today. I'm not quite happy with it yet, but here is how things stand.

The more I looked at the helmet more I thought looked out of place compared to the rest of the figure. So I repainted it to be all steel. Weathered it with burnt sienna and dry brushed with silver. When this is fully dry I think I will added a pin wash around the details. The helmet is now attached and the chin strap added.

Doing this bust has been a nice little diversion. The figure is done and all that's left is the mounting. I will post pictures of that when finished. In the mean time here are finished pictures. Thank you for all the interest.

The pin wash on the helmet was a mixture of mineral spirits and pastel powder.

Thanks!
