Unboxed and laid out on the bench. This is a big boy.

I taped off and painted the anti-fouling red on the hull. After looking at a diagram I realized the red is too high up the side. I will tape it where it needs to be and paint the black water line to cover. I will post a pic tomorrow.
Here is the hull as of now. I plan to tape it with around 5mm tape and add the black water line.

I was about to ask if your were going to paint a measure camouflage pattern, then I noticed the box art "circa 1991".
Going to be interesting to see the difference from the WWII version.
Looking forward to following along.

Story was that Iraqi soldiers surrendered to surveillance aircraft after a volley from those guns.

HI Tim very nice job on your W/L on this lovely model an its goin to be like Kevins iowa a crackin model keep this comin as im now about to try to paint my W/L on my hornet so i may do the same thing you did an go an paint it to high or to low as its all geuss work isnt it AN IM FOLOWIN YOUR BUILD
