Firstly: I am to stupid to find the finished build thread. If any mod sees this it would ve really nice if he could move this thread to the right place.

After five months, I've finally managed to finish my current project. I don't think I need to say anything more about the Spitfire – it's probably the most famous warbird in the world. The build went quite smoothly, though there was quite a bit of filling to do, which was down to my own sloppiness. Personally, I learnt a great deal during the build, particularly when it came to weathering and airbrushing.

Depicted is: Spitfire MK. IXc Henryk Dygala 302 Squadron

The aircraft belongs to the Polish Squadron which operated under the Polish government-in-exile. It also took part in D-Day, hence the invasion stripes.

PS: in some of the photos, the tail wheel is bent. I only noticed this after taking the photos, but I was able to repair it.

Welcome Aboard !

This is the correct section of the forum ; WIPs and finished builds go together .

Beautiful work!

I do love me a Spitfire. I built the Eduard Mk VIII in 1/72. Enjoyed it so much I've now got a Mk Vb and and IXc waiting in the wings. I really like what you did with this. Those underwing roundels over that inconveniently placed blister are always a pain in the arse.
