I caught a 1/76 armor bug a little over a year ago and was really enjoying it. The M48 Patton is the classic Monogram kit.

Those are all cool, I admit I was intrigued by the idea of a 1/48 armor kit. MUCH more so than a 1/35 airplane.

I particularly like your 2nd pic, there are some valid arguments that claim the Matilda was the greatest tank of WWII.

Oh, here we go again.
Let's all guess his age.
LOL
I actually remember making the conscious decision, looking at a Squadron Shop catalog.
Thinking the price for 1/48 armor (Bandai) and some Aurora, were almost the same as the 1/35 kits and went with 1/35. Tamiya was cool back then. Still at the forefront, but the competition is not that far behind. AFV has such a variety.
Who would have known, that 1/48 would take off again? Tamiya leading the charge. AFV Club, Hobby Boss, and Bandai, sitting on 'print money now'. I don't know why they haven't dusted those molds off, given it another go?
20 years ago was the last re-pops?
