I had the good fortune to be able to attend my second Scale Model World show in Telford UK.

One of the great things about this show is that the SHOW is the focus and not the contest.

While there were just under 1000 entries in the various categories of the contest, there were easily 15,000 - 20,000 models on display throughout the 3 different halls.

Clubs from around the world and Special Interest Groups (SIG) all have tables arranged throughout the halls all showing the fine work by their members.

Truly a sight to behold. Also, a great variety of vendors attend meaning you can quickly fill up your stocking early and empty your wallet quickly.

The fact that it spans two days really gives you a chance to look at everything in great detail and talk to a larger number of fellow modelers.

Well worth the trip if you have a chance to make it. Also lots of great museums relatively close to add to your itinerary.

I hope you enjoy just a few of the many pictures.

WOW! The hobby is alive and well in Telford. That is very impressive.

15,000! That's unreal. I'd LOVE to go sometime.

Thanks for the post.
