As someone struggling to finish my 1st RFM kit...was it "fiddly"?

Edit: looking at the pics in more detail...those track extensions (called grousers?) were part of the kit?
 
They're Ostketten, literally "East(ern) tracks". The extensions aren't separate pieces but cast integrally with the rest of the link. The purpose was the same as the grousers used on Shermans from the winter of 1944–'45 on — namely, lower ground pressure — but those grousers were separate bits that were attached to the end connectors.
