I have used liquid mask with success on small things before, like gauges on aircraft instrument panels. But in those cases the goo cannot get in between the opaque plastic and the clear. It can be a PITA to get tiny bits out if they are pinched inside.

WELL I BUILT my movie 1/350 th enterprise first with lights an then useing humbroll maskol on the glass windows an that worked out good an then sprayed it

Y'all are making me want to work on mine. I started it in the 1990s, but the fit (of the cutaway section) is terrible.
