Resin German gunner kit

A friend gave me a resin kit he bought online. No instructions poorly cast resin parts and not sure if all the parts are correct. I have one photo for reference that he sent me.

There are supposed to be 2 figures but they are both the same pose so I think that we will have to go with just the one on the gun.

I like puzzles but this is going to be a real test and alot of guess work. Pantherman

No details but I would guess at 1/16 possibly. Pantherman

The resin parts are absolutely shocking, bent, twisted and nothing line's up so I'm just going to get it together the best I can, paint it then put it in a box out of the way so I don't have to look at it. Pantherman

You might be able to salvage some if they're not too thick with hot water bath and/or hair dryer on low. I've had limited success with that. Sometimes cutting and repositioning, or replacing with brass or Evergreen...

Well shocking is all I can say. Hopefully the painting will detract from the defects but it kept me busy over the bank holiday weekend. Pantherman

I tried but I wouldn't want to be the one firing a shell from this gun. Keep thinking of boomerang's.

I think they are recasts of Jeff Shui figure sets.I got asked to do some figures and the resin smell was diabolical.

Richard is correct, these look like recast of Jeff Shiu's work. The style is a dead give-away. He rails about this all the time, which is understandable. You might inform your friend to be more careful buying "unknowns" online as they rob the sculptor of his due. I will never buy anything that could possibly be a recast.

Thanks Steve. I definitely wouldn't buy what I was given, just not worth the hassle to build. I would prefer the real experience of the kit as it should be. Pantherman
