All right.
I decided that, after talking with a few people, I would consider the purpose of this ship and keep the markings to a bare minimum.
In fact, the only identifying markings on her are the "Galactica" firebird emblems on the wings and fuselage.
I also decided to treat the "mismatched" white sections from the last stage as repairs that have been done to the craft.
She's had only very minor weathering/detailing, mostly my going in and picking out some of the details with a black wash and repainting the main engine in a dark blue metallic and the windows in a light blue metallic.
