Paper models

Anybody tried paper models? I can't see they would be as nice as plastic, but I've never seen one. Only found out about them when researching MQ 9 Reaper drone kits.

My builds are "strait-outta-box" so to speak.
Because I retail my kits, I have to build examples of the finished model for photographs to show what they look like.
I generally want to show what you can do with what you get in the kit.

Sometimes I might swap the canopy (on a plane) from paper to clear plastic (if I want to show the interior).
And I introduce wire for antennas, wooden dowels and toothpicks for supports and stiffening, etc
You can still employ many plastic model techniques and take the models even further.

The biggest advantages to paper models are the finishes and textures that can be achieved in pre-printing,
and the fact that you can print new parts, or reprint entire kits to build again (if working with digital/print-yourself kits).
