1st Tank model in 20 years. Did a few models to practice on. Started with dry fitting then started to make a muffler from metal and plastic card. Barrels hollowed out.
Finished a bit more. The muffler still needs final weathering. Cut part of fender off to replace with a brass pc. Replaced weld lines on turret and upper hull front armor plate with veiwports.
Not much done today...Made clasps for rear turret storage unit, painted the lower hull and hollowed out one of the road lamps. To represent a damaged unit hollowed it out and placed 2 pc's of broken glass on the bezel..
A little more completed today..Made a mask for the road wheels, painted, weathered and on the hull. Also weathered the springs and assemblies. used graphite to represent steel then rust, sepia and dark washes then highlights with grey,whit/grey and sand/white..
Using brass sheet to close the crew compartment. Does anyone have any suggestions on the tracks..In the research of North African armor, many of these tanks track looks almost white..Any suggestions? Thanx
Well almost done, still odds and ends to do ,dullcoat after the rest of the decals and final weathering but this is were I stopped today...Sorry, the hulls weren't fully together for a few of the pics..
Close to the finish..Used a reds to give the finish a deeper tone. The figure, well I flubbed it but for now may leave it be..still have to dullcoat it..
