Paints

I'm looking for recommendations on the best type of paint for wooden models. For my plastic models, I use Humbrol enamel and Revel acrylic with an airbrush. While I understand that preferences can vary, I'd appreciate a general perspective on what works best for wood.

I have always used acrylic paint (Vallejo and Army Painter) and Tamiya paints for wood.
