Well….. you most certainly can't go wrong with a Tamiya kit. That looks like a good subject too bud.

just make sure it's clean before laying paint down and it'll be fine.
 
Even Tamiya has separation mold lines you might want to sand down..up along the top of the front fenders, the a pillar, and down along the rear fenders....just sayin'
 
I really like the plating on the chrome pieces. It's not overly shiny. Also the way it's attached to the tree, you can clip without leaving marks on the visible surface.
