Need a mix ratio for red oxide using more common colors

Hey all, Can anyone recommend a good mix ratio for red oxide primer (as used on german WW2 armor) using more common basic colors.
 
lol the man speaks the truth. this is what i plan on doing insted of trying to get the right mix ratio
 
If there was a hobby shop in Moncton, Id probably go pick up a bottle... however...

Was really hoping to start painting the Jagdpanther this weekend and I was hoping to get the inner walls of the rear deck vents painted before I start the main camo. Would the inner walls of the rear deck vents be painted in the red oxide or another color?
 
I usually go for actual red oxide primer; Tremclad manufactures some in a rattle can which can be found at most hardware/home improvement stores. It goes on kind of thick straight from the can so I'll decant some out into a jar and then airbrush it. It's hard to find a closer match. ;)
