If there was a hobby shop in Moncton, Id probably go pick up a bottle... however...
Was really hoping to start painting the Jagdpanther this weekend and I was hoping to get the inner walls of the rear deck vents painted before I start the main camo. Would the inner walls of the rear deck vents be painted in the red oxide or another color?
I usually go for actual red oxide primer; Tremclad manufactures some in a rattle can which can be found at most hardware/home improvement stores. It goes on kind of thick straight from the can so I'll decant some out into a jar and then airbrush it. It's hard to find a closer match.
I used some Vallejo model air Fire red and some Vallejo model air tank brown. I mixed like Red to brown 7:3. Something like that. you want more red and a little brown.
I used it on this tank right here. I needed a TAD bit more red but it came out GREAT for a first time trying redoxide!!!!!!
