Navy Colors - Blue Grey

Just wondering about US navy colors, that blue grey seen on ships etc...

Anyone have any navy color schemes, and paint matches, that they could share?

Era? Doesn't really matter...just wondering about that cool shade of blue grey seen on carriers.

It's for a build that isn't navy, just want it to 'feel' navy a bit.

According to the Ultimate Model Paint Conversion Chart, Haze Gray is equivalent to Neutral Gray (fs 36270) which makes perfect sense. I've read that during wartime, neutral gray was created by mixing equal parts black and white paints. In the Vallejo Model Color line use medium sea gray. Tamiya XF83 would be another match.

I could get you a hefty 5 Gallons of the 2 part epoxy paint we use on the Submarine... ...Bilge Grey as its named. It's a rather nasty color, but not as bad as Mushroom or Oxide Reds, they stay on your hands for DAYYYYYS

Haze Grey is a color that is pretty specific to surface ships- it can vary from a blue tint to a pink tint. I would recommend using a specific resource and go with that . I am a former (10) year boatswain 2nd class and am currently a yard bird at the finest shipyard in the world.
