Well, here is my Toy Biz Venom kit produced in 1996.
I can't remember for sure if he was a snap together or glue....Either way...he got glued!
LOTS of Zap-A-Gap, and sanding,scraping, and sanding. Then I sprayed him all over in flat black. Then I used Testor's Transparent blue spray paint to give him a deep rich blue black gloss, to emulate his look in the comics.
The areas of the base that were not coated with the excess of the Venom costume, I hand brushed flat black enamel. Then I dry-brushed the browns, and greys on top.
All the reds and whites of the teeth were hand brushed Testors enamels. The whites of the eyes, and the spider symbols were flat white acrylic. Then I hand drew the black lines with a fine tipped felt pen.
