Hey guys,
Haven't been in here in a while so if this belongs elsewhere, feel free to move it.
Some of you know me for my ever expanding line of Star Trek conversion parts. Well, I'm branching out beyond Trek with three conversion heads for the vintage MPC R2-D2 kit. The names above each picture link to direct ordering pages until I re-design my site to add a formal Astromech menu.
R2 head
R4 head
R5 head
All are designed so the domes can still rotate like the original and are all cast hollow for lighting.
The R2 head corrects some detail and proportion issues with the kit head. R4 is designed to be built as either OT or PT style as there are slight differences between them (the page and instructions explain it.) R5 includes an optional "bad motivator".
I have an R3 in development - the one with the clear dome - as well as several expanded universe designs. There's also some MPC C-3PO detailing and conversion parts in the design tank.
