This was a scratch build a long time in the making. It started as my own version but I hated the final product. So I cut it up and started again, this time rebuilding the front half and making it more Ralph McQuarrie like. Hope you guys like. Still need to add an astro-mech. Any suggestions on a color? Its time to take a break and do a nice kit for a change.

Maybe its closer too 1/32 scale? Here it sits with my 1/48 scale MPC X

It could still work at 1/43, which is closer to the scale of that MPC kit anyway.
Definitely looks good.

Love it!!

But I am interested in where you got your Buck Rogers Thunderchief fighter from though please?

One of my bucket list kits to find.

 Nice work sir!

BTW, is that a Buck Rogers Starfighter I see?

Mikey, The starfighter is 30 plus years old. I built it when I was about 14. Saved it in a box in my parents attic. I just recently had them send it so I could totally refurbish it. If you can find one on Ebay they usually run 75 dollars or so.

Very nice work on this fighter here.
I especially like how the color gradient on theside panels looks.

Thanks Solander! I used very soft pastels and blue painters tape to get that fade.

Thats superb! I've been keeping an eye out for one at the right price, but they are becoming extremely rare to fine now.

Loving your work though Jake :)
