Here's starting what may likely be my next build.
We'll start with an in-box preview of the Iron Man MkVI kit from Moebius Models.

Thankfully, THIS time, the picture on the box actually represents the pose of the model inside
Box Art:

The kit looks to be well engineered, if oddly structured to produce the pose.
They've included separate pieces this time for the eyes, ARC reactor, and hand repulsors. As well as giving us a different base.
With a little tweaking, I believe this kit can be lit without too much difficulty. The largest problem would actually be getting the lights into the hands for the repulsors.

Sprue shots:
My apologies for the quality on some of these.

Nice open box review, Q. If this is to be your next build, Good Luck. I know you'll do a Great job
on it. Looking forward to the next installment. Bill

Started working on the Iron Man MkVi as kind of a tuneup for the contest at SMA.
Seams actually came out fairly well, only needing basic sanding for the most part.
A fair warning, it looks like the instructions call out the left arm parts for the right arm, and vice versa, so be careful while test fitting things.
Model goes together really quickly, and without too many hiccups.
Here are the head, arm assembly, and boots.

I forgot to take more in progress pictures as I did the rest of the construction, but it does go together really well in most areas.
Watch out for the chest/shoulder and leg/hip joints for the main fit problems

Construction and most seamwork completed:

That is a much much better pose than their first Iron Man (tm) kit.
:)
He's looking great!..... but no Graphite dust? ;)
j/k

--chuckles--
Funny you should mention that......
I'm thinking of not doing him in the standard red and gold, so.....

YAY..... GRAPHITE DUST......
You love , I love it... Everyone loves it.
I haven't actually used it myself yet, but I like the results you have gotten with it. :)

Only just caught up with this Q, looks great, nice work on the build, now lets see some paint! 8)

Good to see you doing another big fig Q ....Looking forward to paint :)

Chris.

Thanks, guys.
Paint's in mid-stage right now while I find the drive to do the masking I need to do on him

The Iron Man MkVI gets paint.
Starting with a basic coat of grey primer.

I put down a coat of Testors Graphite Dust, but had disaster strike.
The paint bubbled in more places than I could possibly fix.
moe-ironman-mk6-11.jpg

So, into a bath of Simple Green for a day, followed by liberal scrubbing with an old toothbrush.
All that bad paint is gone. I can try again

New primer coat

New coat of Graphite Dust. This time almost...almost flawless.

I masked off his upper arms, thighs, and faceplate.
Then I sprayed over the exposed areas with Candy Apple Red from rattlecan.
After unmasking, I have to say that I really like the effect.

 Nice vid Patrick 'Graphite Dust' Riley! I hope that fan works in the bathroom, dont want you passin out in there! lol. But seriously good work, the colour tones are lovely. Great piece. ;)

Thanks, John.
Fan works really well, actually.
And, like I said in the vid, once I finished spraying, I closed the door and left the room

Thanks, Eastrock.

And, we're done.....
After giving him a couple of coats of clear, I went in and gave him a light black wash to bring out the detail.
This time, though, I opted to wipe off the excess before letting it dry.
Picked out the repulsors, eyes, and ARC reactor again with white, then washed those with some red ink mixed in future.
Gave the base a black wash, them a matte coat.
