Liking your work but wow, does that bench need tidying!!In the process of building the Academy 1:72 Memphis Belle with ground support vehicles for a small diorama.
I'll post a post build PicLiking your work but wow, does that bench need tidying!!
Sorry, but I'm just a neat freak when it comes to modeling.

Each to their own I suppose. I have to tidy, sort and clean after every session at the bench.I agree, I always houskeep after a build, during a build all bets are off, every thing is right where I left it.
I like it!!! I am relegated to the end of the dining room table, I have a "paint room" set up in the family room. Each to their own I suppose. I have to tidy, sort and clean after every session at the bench.
I'm always thinking of additions to help keep things neat. This weekend I decided to build a little paint rack.

Guilty as charged your honour!!Pantherman, I am convinced there is a touch of OCD in you somewhere. Down Time, your work bench during a build resembles mine......POWER to the mess......LOL.

Where did you get the crew set? I was just going to modify some generic 1/72 figures.I have this kit. I picked up a resin crew set as well
Will be watching for any tips and taking notes
Bummer for me, plane is pretty much sealed up. Back to plan A.I got mine from here sometime last year (although at the time it was $25 instead of $28, but same seller

Legend is good. I have some of their individual 1/48 figures. The detail is crisp and the castings are clean. They'll paint up nicely.I got mine from here sometime last year (although at the time it was $25 instead of $28, but same seller

I need to add a support in the middle of that hutch back, on the side facing the seat. There is one on the other side, but the plywood shelves sag a little on the seat side. It's not as bad as it looks in this photo, though. The shot's angle creates a bit of an optical illusion
Dear God, dont pay attention to any in progress pics I may post then. You might have a seizure. LOLLiking your work but wow, does that bench need tidying!!

Like the build, it's looking great. I will have to start awarding trophies to new members of the Pantherman neat freak club !!!!Tanker is ready for decals.
Pantherman, made a clear spot for you.
It's just too small for us poor sighted old boys. 1/35 works for me as not to small to work on but small enough so as not to take up too much display space. After I am done with this, you'd be hard pressed to find me working in 1/72 again.....
Yes, Airfix. Bifocals I use are split with reading on top with +1.50 extra in the reading area.My apologies if this was mentioned and I missed it, but is the support vehicle set the Airfix set? They look good!
As as far as working in 1/72 goes, I find that the magnification I use makes it work-an Optivisor knock-off, and cheap reading glasses (3x magnification) from the drug store. Good lighting helps, too, general area and focused lighting.
