Here is the current version of my Lost in Space tribute using my scale model work and practical effects.Special thanks to the following friends who helped along the way...Erich Linder, Jeff Summers and thanks to Lost in Space/Jupiter 2 expert Ron Gross for several suggestions on how to improve the video!
The video uses the following Scale models I have built...
18" Moebius "HERO" Jupiter 2.
9.6" Gemini 12.
1:350 DERELICT space ship.
Interior of a 1:32 Moebius Jupiter 2.
Scratch built 1:18 Gemini 12 Viewport and control deck.
For the flying sequences, the model was flown using the Lydecker method, Two wires on either side of the ship through the enclosed brass tubing.
The exterior footage of the ship was shot outside in natural Sunlight(in my back yard!) Composited into footage of the actual crash locations used in the series.
For the meteor storm, my model was composited into actual footage lifted from the series thanks to my long term collaborator, Erich Linder.
All other backgrounds and star fields were created by me.
Music provided is from John Williams.
