Hey Guys,

This is a model I have been meaning to stick on a base for a while and finally finished it. The tank is a dragon kit and the figures are tamiya.

There are some better photos of the tank here:

Any feedback is welcome as always.

Cheers Alan.

Just an absolutely beautifull piece of art there! The way you have some earth poking through the snow here and there is very realistic. Care to share your snow making technique? It's one of the best I've seen. Again, fantastic work!

Thanks Fumble,

Not much of a technique to be honest, the snow is just 'Games Workshops' modelling snow which is fine white fibers,

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?utm_source=google-product-search&utm_campaign=Google-Shopping-en_GB&utm_medium=google&utm_term=other&utm_content=other&setLocale=en_GB&prodId=prod1095400

I just use a pva and water mix and sprinkle it on, I'll repeat to get get areas with a denser coverage and when the snow is wet it is a bit sticky and so you can clump it. It does loose some of its realism up close as you can see the fibers, this is more apparent on the armour but for a quick, fairly cheap (a pot goes a long way) snow cover its great.

Would love to hear any other techniques, I'm aware of 'Scenic Snow' but have never used it, looks like it can create some good effects.

Hello, I'm trying to find some suggestions for snow for my Dio build with a sturmtiger on this forum. So, I'm looking for suggestions other than the ones I know about. I tried games workshop white fibres and they made my modelling look furry, espeasially on glass and polished surfaces.

I just replied elswhere about a friend of mine who has used this stuff. I am looking everywhere with snow in the title.

The results of what he has done are bonkers, Ill post some pics if anyone is interested. He has created an orchard and in sunlight it looks like it should melt of the branches. I am thinking of buying some for my build because it does not block detail as i want to make my tiger look very cold . What do you think?
